Traveller's Rest Farm is a small family owned and operated 34 acre equine retirement farm located in Southern Maryland's beautiful Charles County.
We are not a rescue or a not-for-profit, although we support local rescues. To that end, we do not take in donated horses.
We believe that every horse deserves their retirement, in fact, this farm was purchased and is named after our very own Traveller who sadly passed October 31, 2009; We carry on with his spirit all around us. He was our riding horse well into his late teens and this farm was purchased specifically so he would have a permanent place to retire. He is pictured above and will be greatly missed.
We operate solely for the comfort of our horses and are dedicated to giving your horse the same care and love we do our own. We don't operate under strict rules as a normal boarding farm would. We have, in the past, allowed some residents to roam the farm freely and currently allow our pony Shadow and his goat pals free reign over the farm.
Traveller's Rest Farm, its owners and affiliates promise to care for your horse as our own and treat them with the respect and dignity they deserve.
January 12, 2009 - We have openings available. Please email me for more information.
